Shipping Dreads to South Africa

I would like to know how many dreads I need for a full head (sharpie dreads), how to put it the dreadlocks in and what the cost will be I'm from South Africa and if you have any shop that can implant the dreads. Are all the dreads the same hair type or are the different. I have black hair.

I would use between 60-85 sharpie thickness dreadlocks for a full head of hair. We usually make synthetic dreadlocks but we can also make wool dreadlocks. Both can come in just about any color you can dream up. We definitely have black!

Yes, we do ship to South Africa. In fact, we have made dreads for several people in South Africa.

We only make dreadlocks. We do not put them in for people. South Africa would probably be a little out of the way even if we did put them in. ;-) But there are a lot of salons around the world that off the service. I would think that it would not be too difficult to find a salon there that would do it for you. That being said, although it takes a little time to put the dreads in

it is a relatively easy process and a friend might be able to help you out with it!

Dreadlocks for a Wedding

Hello!

I am getting married October 15th, this year. I have dreads already and was wanting to buy dread extensions to make my hair fuller and longer for my wedding.
Cool! We've actually made dreads for a bride before. She sent the pics. Both she and her hair looked gorgeous!

If I were to order dreads this week when would you be able to have them to me? It did not say on your site how long they take to make and ship to get here. And i would need them here for my wedding. :)

We ship our dreadlocks within 6 weeks depending on how many orders we have in front of theirs and if we have the dread hair is in stock. I can ensure the dreads are shipped early enough to arrive before your wedding. We would probably be able to ship them before Oct. 3rd.

We do have several orders already ordered and qued to be created. So, if this is something you would like to move forward with, it would be best to place your order as soon as possible since we work on a first come, first serve basis and if we were to get a couple large orders in before yours it could change our shipping schedule. ...but I think it would be fine if you order this week. :-)

Also, how do I see the color I'm buying? I think I need a platinum blond but I'm not to sure.
We do not have a color chart. People tell us the color(s) they want and we make it.

We have a 'near white' which is slightly lighter than the platinum blond. We could mix the two. Just a thought. Sometimes people like to buy more than one color.

That depends on if we have the colors in stock or if we need to order the colors, as well as how many orders we have before yours. Did you need them by a certain date? What is your timeframe. How many dreads are you need, which colors, and what would be the length and width (pencil or sharpie) of the dreads?

George Clinton's Dread Wig

I stumbled on you web site today and i hoping you can help. Do you make dread lock wigs also? I'd like to get a George Clinton type wig within a week. I have an event next week am dressing up as GC.

Yes, we make dreadlock wigs! We could make a George Clinton dreadlock wig. No problem.

Generally speaking, we need more than a week to create, ship and have deliver the dreadlocks. It would be a very rare occassion that this would be possible.

You can always ask but we take our orders first come first serve so it would be a matter of everything just happening to fit right for something like that to work. Plus, we would need the specific colors to be in stock. Generally this isn't a problem as we always keep a large supply of incredible and varied dreadlock colors on hand - both natural and funky!

Let me know if you could help and approximate cost.

With a different time frame, we can definitely make this wig. No problem!

Double-Ended & Single-Ended Dread Order

Could I have 30 double ended dreadlocks, 14inches when folded, 28 inches unfolded in a similar a shade as possible to the photos attached. I'm after a natural looking colour even though the pictures are a little photo shopped. Pencil thickness is fine.

Could you give me a rough idea of how long it would take to delivery? And how do I pay for only 30 locks? I could only find 50 minimum in the link on your site.

Dreadhawk Hair

Hello =) (Hi Adrian!) I'm a College student from Malaysia and i'm very new to this dreadlock experience.
I really wanna do the Dreadhawk hair. But, i just have no idea how, what thickness or length to choose from.
Maybe you can help me by recommending things for me. I'll include pictures.

-I have a 5+ inch Mohawk and i would like extend it for a long period of time like 6 months-a year, will your dreads last? Yes. Our dreads will last that long but you will most likely need to take them out and put them in again every 4-6 weeks because hair grows and at a certain point the dreads need to be closer to the roots.

-I'm looking for dreads that are slightly thicker than the ones shown in picture. (Please recommend size) We can make them slightly thicker than in the pic. No problem.

-Length of dreads, Slightly longer than in picture (Please Recommend) The dreads in the pic appear to be about 12". Do you want the back bottom dreads that length as well? Or, would you like those somewhat shorter? I'd go with about 14-16" if you're interested in slightly longer. Remember that all our dreads lengths vary slightly from dread to dread since they are each individually made for each customer!

-Colors are Dark Brownish Black Okay. No problem. Is that one color or 2-3? We could do jet black, off-black, black, the darkest brown, etc.

-How many dreads do i need to do a full Dreadhawk? (Please Recommend) The picture looks like it has about 12 rows of maybe 6 per row. I would recommend 4 or 5 per row since you want them thicker (probably five so you don't have a part down the middle of the scalp - also alternative the positioning of the dreads. The varied positioning will help with a more organic feel - unless you want a more industrial vibe then you might want to do the opposite. So that would be approximately 48-60 dreads.

-Can i do payment with credit cards? We work through PayPal only. PayPal accepts credit cards.

-After payment, how long should i expect items to arrive? We ship within 6 weeks. It depends on how many orders we have before yours. Often the dreads are shipped sooner.

I'll send you an invoice for 48 dreads and another for 60 dreads. Pay the one that works for you along with color choices and whether or not you would like the dreads in the back to gradually decrease in length. We will que your dreads to be made once payment is received.
